Padma Bank PLC Internet Banking Service
Terms and Conditions
My use of the Padma Internet Banking Service shall be governed by the terms and conditions furnished in the Bank’s website (www.padmabankbd.com) and/or the terms and conditions which pop up promptly while logging in into my account/card through internet banking, which are integral part of the terms and conditions present in the website as well. While using Padma Internet Banking Service, I must comply with the terms and conditions and other applicable terms relating to my Account, Banking Services. I have read and fully understood the terms and conditions and accept the same. I instruct and authorize the Bank to email me the Padma Internet Banking User ID and Login Password (collectively ‘Security Codes’) relating to my access to the Padma Internet Banking Services to the designated email address. I also instruct and authorize the Bank to send my Padma Internet Banking One Time Password (OTP) to my registered mobile number as recorded in core banking system as per my previous instruction relating to online fund transfer from my account. According to Bank’s procedures if I fails to comply the terms and conditions, then I will be held responsible for sharing the Security Codes and One Time Password to an unauthorized third party and all the cost and consequences shall be fully borne by me.
Internet Banking Password Policy:
- User ID/Credentials: At least 8 characters in length without special character
- Password: Password should be as follows:
- Using at least 6 characters in length
- Using at most 20 characters in length
- Using at least one uppercase and at least one lowercase alphabetic character (e.g. A-Z, a-z)
- Using at least one numerical character (e.g. 0-9)
- Using at least one special character (e.g. ~! @#$%^&*()_- =)
- Password must be easy to remember
Padma Bank shall be responsible for performing iBanking services expressly and shall not be liable for any unauthorized access or misuse of his/her account(s) or transaction to the account(s) through internet banking due to the following reasons:
- Disclosure of Credential/password/OTP of internet banking or registered e-mail
- Cloning of mobile SIM by the personnel of mobile operator or other
- Unlock of Mobile/PC/Tab/Laptop during unattended period i.e. careless use or locking security disclose to other
- Registered e-mail credential changed by the related service provider or hacked by any means
- Use of self-service to Unlock of credential/Reset of Password due to above cause(s)
- Compromise of two-factor authentication tools/information to other
- Insertion of wrong account no. /mobile no./bill no./customer no./amount/month etc. during transaction or mobile airtime recharge.
- Using unknown WIFI connections for ibanking.
BANK’S RESPONSIBILITY:
- The Bank will be responsible for any loss or damage arising from the Bank's willful misconduct and gross negligence, to the extent that such loss or damage is ordinarily incurred and shall not be liable for any loss or damage that occurs under special circumstances. However, the applicant agrees that the Bank shall not be responsible for any loss or damage resulting from the following cases/events
- The use of User ID and Password/PIN, or OTP or the use of mobile according to the procedure prescribed by the Bank regardless of whoever has performed such act;
- Force majeure event or events that are not under the Bank's control including failure of equipment or communication systems, inoperative connection signals, computer virus, unlawful acts or in the case where the Bank suspends this service for the purpose of system upgrade or maintenance, which prevent the applicant from using the service;
- Delay or error caused by, or deficiency of, computers or equipment’s of the applicant, internet service provider or any other communication network, the Bank shall be responsible for such delay, error, or deficiency provided that those are being caused by the Bank's willful misconduct or gross negligence
- Delay caused by the process of the Service;
- Non-compliance by the applicant of these terms and conditions or any provisions, terms and conditions of any service utilized by the applicant via this service.
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION:
The applicant agrees that the Bank may make inquiry about, keep, collect, use, disclose, or give, certain or all information relating to the applicant as the Bank deems necessary and appropriate or deems beneficial to the applicant for the purpose of receiving proposals on other services.
The following paragraph shall be undertaken by the Customer:
I/We confirm the accuracy and completeness of the information provided above and hereby agree to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined in the attached Agreement for Digital Financial Services Payment Agreement (if applicable) and to abide by the rules governing customer accounts with Padma Bank PLC. This agreement shall be applicable to all accounts/products opened or continued in the same name(s) by the Bank, its successors, or assigns. I/We acknowledge having read and understood the terms and conditions associated with the above service request as specified in the Padma Bank PLC Digital Banking Enrollment Form/T&C, and hereby consent to comply with them. Additionally, I/We acknowledge the potential risks associated with the use of digital channels for financial and non-financial transactions and agree to bear such risks. Furthermore, I/We accept that the utilization of digital channel services is subject to compliance with prevailing regulations and Padma Bank PLC.
