Padma Bank

Padma Bank Limited conducts a half day long awareness workshop titled “Guidelines for Trust Fund Management in payment and settlement services” at it's Mirpur Training Institute.
Dhaka based Branch and Head office employees were attended at that interactive workshop. Mohammad Kamrul Islam, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank conducted the workshop. EVP & Head of Operation Syed Towhid Hossain was present during the workshop.

On 19th September'22, Monday, the “Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh” visited “Padma Bank Limited” at its Gulshan Corporate Head Office. Md. Fariduddin Ahmed, Chairman, Executive Committee and Md. Abdullah Sharif, Secretary General, Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh handed over the approval letter of membership to Tarek Reaz Khan, Managing Director & CEO of Padma Bank to go for Islamic Banking operation.

With this approved membership letter, Padma Bank can start the operation as an Islamic Banking entity of the country. DMD & CRO, Faisal Ahsan Chowdhury; DMD & COO, Zabed Amin; SEVP & CHRO, M Ahsan Ullah Khan were present on behalf of Padma Bank Ltd. Also, Head of IT, Md. Anisur Rahman; Principal Officer, Md. Raihanul Amin; in-charge of Administration Department, Syed Sakhawatul Islam from “Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh” were also present at the event.

Padma Bank organized a training program titled “Training on Gender Equality” on September 15 at its Mirpur Training Institute. A total of  93 employees from different branches and head office attended the half-day training on women empowerment and gender equality. Also 55 participants from outside Dhaka attended the training program virtually. 

Ms. Nilufer Ahmed Karim, Freelance Gender & Management Consultant conducted the session. EVP and Head of Operation, Syed Towhid Hossain was present during the training.

রূপালী ব্যাংকের নব নিযুক্ত ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক (এমডি) ও প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (সিইও) মোহাম্মদ জাহাঙ্গীরের সঙ্গে সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎ করেন পদ্মা ব্যাংকের ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক (এমডি) ও প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (সিইও) তারেক রিয়াজ খান। এ সময় তিনি ফুল দিয়ে মোহাম্মদ জাহাঙ্গীরকে শুভেচ্ছা জানান।

তাঁর আগামীর পথচলায় শুভকামনা জানান তারেক রিয়াজ খান।

This program was held under the supervision of the AML Division at Padma Bank's Mirpur Training Institute on Saturday, September 10. A total of 95 participants including 46 BAMLCOs, the Branch Operation Manager of different branches, and officers from the Head Office Banking Operation Division participated in the program.  Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) Joint Director Khandaker Asif Rabbani was present during the inauguration of the program along with Padma Bank's EVP and Head of Operation Syed Towhid Hossain and Bank's Deputy CAMLCO Rashadul Karim. After the inaugural program, the Joint Director of BFIU conducted his session. At the end of the program, all participants took part in an hour-long assessment test on BFIU Circular No: 26. And the fundamentals of AML/CFT.

বগুড়ায় পদ্মা ব্যাংকের আয়োজনে বৈশ্বিক অর্থনীতির প্রেক্ষাপটে গ্রাহক সচেতনা কর্মসূচি ও আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। ০৬ সেপ্টেম্বর-২০২২, মঙ্গলবার বিকেলে শহরের ঝাউতলায় এই আয়োজন করা হয়।

 অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপতিত্ব করেন পদ্মা ব্যাংকের বগুড়া শাখার ব্যবস্থাপক জাকির হোসেন। অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের বগুড়া শাখার নির্বাহী পরিচালক এ.এফ.এম শাহীনুল ইসলাম।

এছাড়াও বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক বগুড়া শাখার পরিচালক (প্রশাসন) গোবিন্দ লাল গাইন, বগুড়া আর্মড পুলিশ ব্যাটালিয়ন পাবলিক স্কুল এন্ড কলেজের অধ্যক্ষ এ.টি.এম. মোস্তফা কামাল, বাংলাদেশ মহিলা আওয়ামী লীগের সহ সভাপতি ও সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য অধ্যক্ষ খাদিজা খাতুন শেফালী এবং রাজাবাজার আড়ৎদার ও ব্যবসায়ী মালিক সমিতির সাধারণ সম্পাদক পরিমল প্রসাদ রাজ। আলোচনায় পদ্মা ব্যাংকের বগুড়া শাখার সহকারি প্রধান জাহেদা আক্তারসহ অন্যান্য কর্মকর্তা এবং গ্রাহকরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

পদ্মা ব্যাংক লিমিটেড প্রয়াত অ্যাসিসটেন্ট অফিসার (এও) মো. তোফায়েল আহমেদের পরিবারের কাছে কর্মী তহবিল ও অন্যান্য বিভিন্ন সুবিধার চেক হস্তান্তর করেছে। ব্যাংকের গুলশান হেড অফিসে প্রয়াত তোফায়েল আহমেদের স্ত্রী রহিমা আক্তারের  হাতে চেক তুলে দেন পদ্মা ব্যাংকের চেয়ারম্যান ড. চৌধুরী নাফিজ সরাফাত। এই সময় ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক ফয়সাল আহসান চৌধুরী (চলতি দায়িত্ব), উপ-ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক জাবেদ আমিন, চিফ হিউম্যান রিসোর্স অফিসার এম. আহসান উল্লাহ খান উপস্থিত ছিলেন। পদ্মা ব্যাংকের গুলশান সাউথ শাখার কর্মকর্তা তোফায়েল আহমেদ, ২১ আগস্ট, ২০২২ হৃদযন্ত্রের ক্রীড়া বন্ধ হয়ে মারা যান। মৃত্যুকালে তাঁর বয়স হয়েছিল ৪৫ বছর। তিনি স্ত্রী ও এক ছেলে-মেয়ে রেখে গেছেন।
